Since the french owners of UK-based handling agent Servisair recently also purchased Globeground (formerly Lufthansa's ground handling company), does anyone know what it plans to do with these two companies? Will they be merged to form one organization?
Also, how much of Globeground did Pennauille Polyservices buy - was it just their European operation, or did it include the rest of their operation such as the USA?
It would be a shame to see the Servisair brand applied to the whole Globeground operation, as Servisair do not have the best reputation here in the UK, whereas Globeground are seen as one of the better handling compnies.

Hi UK Dispatcher,
I understand they may keep the 2 brands seperate.
Penauille bought 49 % of Globeground. Lufthansa is to sell the remainder in June.
The entire company including GlobeGround North America was purchased.

I don't work for a handling agent now - I work for an airline, although I have previously worked for Servisair and Aviance. I'm always interested to know which airlines are using which handling agents, though - there are sometimes interesting reasons for choosing one handling agent over another.
Do you work for a handling agent?
