they have had a 340 but they have gotten rid of it. ( it was mostly used on Royal Flights anyway)

Maybe 764?

apparently a while ago they wanted to start flights to the US. Maybe a 345 would be a good choice?

RBA never had an A340- one of the Sultan's A340's was painted in RBA colours to hide it's identity as ANOTHER royal aircraft. Their 767-200 is also painted as RBA.

As far as I know, the next aircraft coming into the fleet are 2 A319's. I don't believe there are any plans to replace the 767-300's. RBA has a serious cash shortfall problem (it has never been profitable) and let's not forget Prince Jeffrey lost A LOT of the country's money.

Actually BI are considering the 767-400 and A330-200 as well as the 777-200 for replacing the 767-300.

Flight International had a report of Royal Brunei is choosing either 764 or 332. They ordered 2 A319 couple of months ago.

I think if they choose 772, it could be either ER or LR version, so they can fly non-stop to Europe, or may be US.

Some Royal families did that as well.

Like Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

Years ago, RBA had plans to serve HNL, via MNL. Landing rights could not be obtained from the Philippine Govt. and the whole idea was shelved.

I would be surprised if the 764 was a serious contender, considering the range limitations. The 763's operated at present aren't quite optimised for RBA's route structure, but that was the trade off for getting them cheap from AWAS.

RBA often looks at different aircraft, but nothing ever comes of it... the A340 and A321 were pitched to no avail.
