Yeah I know "celebrated the return of direct international service to Midway Airport after more than 40 years"

The reason I said now was they have a new customs facility and new areas that are being constructed and some that are.

I was in MDW Wed. night and it was nice. The first ATA concourse reminded me of CVG. The Southwest and Air Tran concourses weren't beautiful but decent with nice gate areas for WN.

CP had YYZ-MDW flights in the 80's, so it's really been less than 20 years since MDW was an international airport thanks to US Pre-Clearance in Canada.

I don't see the Stars and Stripes flying over the Houses of Parliament in Ottawa! Better tell our Canadian friends the "don't really count" as another country  Big thumbs up

I'm still wondering... which airlines are now occupying the new gates? I know that ATA took over six gates on the new A Concourse, and that ATA, National and Northwest are using the three gates on the new B Concourse that opened in October. However, who is using the three new C Concourse gates?

Also, what will the next phase of construction include? My guess is that the H Concourse (formerly the C Concourse) will be torn down, allowing the construction of the next leg of the B Concourse, and some new gates for Southwest.

MDW has never stopped being an international airport. Scheduled flights are, as has been mentioned numerous times, not what makes an airport international.

Quit calling an airport ramp "Tarmac" and a taxiway "runway".

ATA took over HP's gate, while I guess their old ticket counter is still empty. Right now the rumors are that jetBlue is indeed coming to Chicago. However it'll be ORD and not MDW. Sorry Carl.

Maybe Grupo Taca should consider a flight into MDW, That would make it easier for the Central American dwellers to travel there.
