Just wondering if this thing has been repainted or not? Not that I have done a lot of spotting recently, but I have not seen this aircraft nor many A340's at YYZ.

Yeah: Go spotting more often!
Seriously, though.... The "star" 340 you refer to is still in active service. Saw it the other night. Saw a couple other 340s lastnight, too. (I've got to remember to start making note of registrations!)

AC rotates the fleet so you have a 1 in 9 chance of seeing the Star one. Bowing 747-700 is right though...a specific tail could stick to one route for a week or two before rotating thru the system (and back to YYZ).

Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

Neil,
No, the 2 340's going back (for onward lease to BWIA) are the 2 originals, FTNP and FTNQ, I believe they are fins 901 and 902. FYLD is still kickin it, I haven't seen her for a looooong time but I would have heard if there was a new paintjob on that bird. I gotta try to photograph her more though, I have only a couple of shots. I need GBZR as well, anyone know if that one is due into YYZ soon?

Hey Guys,
I saw "Star Alliance" today at YYZ (MAR.1). I snapped a couple of shots of it from T1. I saw "Free Spirit" last week Friday taking off from rwy.23 from the Boeing parking lot. Hope this helps!!!
