Does anyone know what the retirement schedule is for the rest of the Delta 727 fleet, or does Delta plan on operating them indefinately? If a schedule exists, would someone post which ones (N-numbers) are on their way out the door and when?

I heard October 2003, I think, because they decided to accelerate disposal. I'm gonna miss the 727, especially Delta 727's.

Matt~

We will be down to 10 by Dec 2002. They will all be gone by May 2003. I'll try to look up some of the next retirement dates.

Here is the best list of retirements I could find. Note there are some 737-200 in the list. They have the 200 series line numbers.
Feb-524
Mar-525
April-508,531,223
May-582,526,512,542
June-521,533
July-517,518,583,587,520,532,225,242

I was wrong about the MD88 paint line it is in PAE with the 767 line. Dee Howard is not painting our planes. They could be there for short term storage, I don't really know.
