A few weeks ago I placed a thread about BMI's new Livery and What would Tony Davis from BMI Baby think about our comments.

This is the reaction I received from Tony Davis about my thread on my website http://www.alasta.nl/index1.html

" Thanks for your e-mail and I enjoyed reading your website comments. Unlike most of your members, I think the new colour scheme looks great. What's more
important, so do our customers ! In a competitive market it is all about product and awareness - I have a sense that many of your members also thought Orange was a silly name for a phone company ! In an industry which has seen an unprecedented downturn and the loss of thousands of jobs - we are recruiting and selling seats like they are going out of fashion. I bet the employees of the once "world's favourite airline" could say that at the moment. Thanks again for the expert advice and your interest in our rapidly growing airline.
Tony Davis BMI Baby "

Also a few weeks ago there was a thread if CEO's would vistied the airliners.net.

Well we can add Tony Davis from BMI BABY to our list.

Yep, exactly what I said in that thread-the livery might not look 'aesthetically pleasing', but that's not the point. Easyjet's livery isn't that nice, but it's all about selling the brand, getting the recognition.

Big, bright & memorable letters/images and loud/funny adverts (EZY, GO & Ryanair all do it very well).

Regards

Now if people would extrapolate that to the choice of aircraft and not say that airlines should get a particular type because it looks better in their livery than the competition we might be getting somewhere  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

I wish I were flying
