Today at DTW the Lufthansa 747-400 is back after several months of just the A340-300. I don't know if this was just a special overloaded flight today or if this will be a regular thing. Unfortunately British Airways is still only using a 767-300 and haven't gone back the the 777 or 744.
I also saw something else unusual at DTW today.
I know Apple Vacations flies A320s out of DTW, I saw one take off around 8am, but I didnt know Apple flew 757-200s there though. I saw an Apple or was it JMC 757 take off around 4:45pm on Runway 22L. All I know was that it was a 757 with the bright green tail.

I have no idea about that.
I think I have only seen a 342 once at DTW and it was the one in the old Star Alliance colors. I never seen a 342 since.
The schedule shows that the equiptment is supposed to be a 343, but last summer and even for a little while after Sept 11 they were bringing in a 742 or a 744 to DTW until November or so when they went back to a 343. Must be all those Daimler Chrysler workers flying back and forth. DTW already has a flight to Germany with Northwest, then of course the Daimler bigshots fly on the A320 to nearby Pontiac.
