I saw this Finnair B757-200 at Renton yesterday. I beleive it's going to be registred OH-LBV and is AY's first in the new colors.

Is it a new one (it has a US reg)?

I didn't know AY has ordered any 757's. Aren't they going for the A320.

They are for their charter traffic. Finnair has already 4 in traffic, I beleive - and 2 more on the way.
This one is still carrying a Boeing tempoary reg.

GREAT

another boring white tube design

I should start an aircraft cleaning company now, big business ...

However if there are taken over by BA, AF, LH, JAL, Swiss, SNBA, CO or whatever there is a minimal paint job ...

cheers

I saw this plane last weekend when the sun was shining in Renton, it is indeed a beautiful sight. The relatively large tail surface on the 757 makes it a bit bolder than other planes with the same livery. Like most, but not all liveries, this one looks more vibrant in person. even with the white body.

When I saw it, the reg was an OH-XXX reg (I didn't write it down), not the temporary Boeing N reg shown in the picture. I thought this was quite unusual because they usually use the Boeing reg when flying from Renton to Boeing Field where they are delivered to the customer.

Keesje,

Couldn't agree more. What's the deal? Is there some unsung rule that fuselages must be totally white anymore? The tail is cool though.
