AIRLINERS.NET CREW FORUM MODERATOR
I'm thinking of it, I'm planning to be in the Miami area on that day. You must know by now why I ask. There was a topic recently about American's last flight on a 727, it will arrive in Miami from Tampa (flight 765) in the evening on Apr 30. I would like to know if anyone is interested in doing it. American's very last flight on a 727, I think it's really worth it. And it would be a good occasion to know each other if we can meet in MIA, we would leave MIA after 700pm get into Tampa at 830pm, stay there for less than an hour and fly back to MIA the same evening so that we are on the final flight of the 727. I checked the roundtrip fare, it's just under 100 $ roundtrip taxes included.
If you are interested, you are welcome to reply or simply send me an email at email@example.com
PS: When Delta retired its last L-1011 last summer, there were quite a few airliners.net members on the final flight.

I was on that final L1011 flight, and plan on being on this last AA 727 flight. AA emailed me back today, telling me the final flight was from DFW last week (someone doesn't know what they are talking about haha). Once it's confirmed, I'm gonna book.

I booked my ticket last night on their website. $82.50 R/T flt 962 MIA-TPA returning flt 765 TPA-MIA. Hopefully they'll have some special ceremonies like Delta had when they retired the L10's; that was an incredibly festive occasion. Maybe all of the airliner.net people should meet at the gate for MIA-TPA or TPA-MIA for a celebration.
