Did they ever discover who was behind the hoax that made this plane look like it was part of the 9/11 attacks?

It wasn't a hoax.
It was a joke.
I don't know of anyone who took it seriously. Well, anyone of even moderate intelligence.

Thet guy shown on top of the WTC has a series of pictures like that. The same picture of him showing him in front of the sinking Titanic also appeared after 9/11. What I heard is that that guy just wanted to have a little fun so he made that picture and sent to his friends via email and they then just felt like sending it to everybody they could think of so it spread very fast... I also read that that guy said that if he would have known that it would go all around the world he wouldn't have done it.
