Should probably be fired, but if my experience with the FAA ATC union is any indication, the only person harder to fire than a controller is government worker on a military base!!

Unprofessional behavior, to be sure. But I wonder how commonplace this may be -- we just don't hear about it. I imagine it's tough to control yourself day in day out, over a career that may span 30 years or more.

I would not fire these controllers so hastily, based on just the information in the article.

One of my friend who flies out of SAV as a corporate pilot knows both controllers. He told me that this David Bross guy always acts like this especially to general aviation pilots. So, if you ever fly to SAV, be careful, he's very rude.
