Has anybody heard the rumor that Transavia will be merging with Buzz soon? I read it somewhere on PPRuNe. I really hope it is just a rumor as Transavia is a much stronger brand in my opinion and a way nicer logo.

Hello,
Well SunCEO, AFAIK it goes as follows. Buzz are KLM UK’s low-cost brand. Transavia, KLM’s charter airline operates Basiq Air. Basiq Air and Buzz will be merged into a single brand, Buzz. Whatever you say about Transvia’s way nicer logo and brand (which I don’t agree with considering a brand should be short and easily recognisable which Buzz is), you have to admit it makes economic sense (economies of scale is just 1 factor)
Anyway, Buzz is in a very weak position. If their French routes fail, it could very well be bye bye Buzz. At least this would keep Buzz alive.
But bear in mind, it is only rumour.
