Hello. I was wondering whether anyone could help me with a query regarding some aircraft Hkgspotter1 and I saw yesterday (10-3-02) in TPE airport?
We departed at 15:30 local on B-HXB, Cathay A340 and down below we saw an EVA Air Cargo 747-400F at the cargo terminal. Does anyone know the registration of that aircraft, or perhaps you saw one somewhere around the world at around the same time as we saw this? It was 07:30am GMT/UTC time. They only have 2, so if someone saw one somewhere we will assume we saw the other.
Also we saw the Evergreen/EVA Falcon 900 parked outside the EVA hangars. Does anyone know the registration for this aircraft?

EVA is part of Evergreen. I run into a lot of Evergreen pilots over here, and these guys get furloughed on a regular basis--nature of the business (AMC freight contracts). But are the Eva pilots separate from the Evergreen group? Evergreen has its own in-house union.
I guess the pay isn't too bad at Evergreen and the heavy time and experience is unbeatable. I did run into a junior FO who did a 36 day trip! He got 16 days off and furloughed right after.
Just wondering if its the same way of life on the Eva side.

A330300 you're right! EVA Airways is a part of the EVERGREEN GROUP which is a Taiwanese enterprise.
the EVERGREEN GROUP has different companies in the area of Sea Freight (apparently Evergreen Marine is the largest shipping company in the WORLD according to number of TEUs), airlines (EVA Air and UNI Air), road transport (Evergreen transport), securities, Hotel chains (Evergreen hotels in Penang, Taipei, Keelung, Taichung, Paris, Bangkok etc), etc etc.
Evergreen the Freight only airline is an American company.
