Beautiful bird, absolutely beautiful..it's a shame that Faidor isn't going ahead with the 428.

They must have started deliveries earlier than the 27th, though, because I saw a United Express 328 Jet at IAD on the 25th, when I was returning from Toronto. It might have been just in from Scotland at that point.

The 328JET looks very sharp in United Express livery

Bye bye Junkstreams! Off to the aluminum soda can factory! Chop, chop, crunch!

If you look at the reg it is N452FJ.

ACA operates 30 Fairdorns on behalf of Delta Connection. Their regs are N401FJ-N429FJ and the sole N500FJ.

ACA did operate a select few CRJs for Delta Connection for a brief period, but now all of ACA's CRJs
(~70) operate as United Express.

There are 32 Faridorns scheduled to operate for United Express. Their regs are N451FJ-N482FJ.

So I beleive this is the 2nd Fairdorn for UAX op by ACA. FYI the first was delivered 01/31/02.

I have to admit the United Express livery looks really nice. I still like the Skyway colors on the 328's a little more.

To be exact the place is called Oberpfaffenhoffen (short: OP), about 50 km from down-town Munich.

And yes, the bird really looks cool. But I´ve to admit that a 428JET would even look better with its streched fuselage... but these are only dreams...

Yes, this is a nice plane, and any paint scheme goes well on it. I have seen quite a few of the Delta ones (they base a ton of them out of BOS) and they are really something. Hopefully, I will be able to see one of the United ones when I go to ORF later this year.

Uh, would the seats next to the engines be as noisy as I think?

Cabin noise is pretty consistent throughout the cabin. I've flown on about 6 of the ACA/Delta Connection birds, and have not been bothered by noise -- more so by the slow speed.

I've flown them once on Great Plains airlines (search this forum for several discussions on that airline and plane) and they were not overly noisy. Also they have as much room (if not more insome cases) as the various RJs, especially in the headroom dept. I think it is great little plane and it seemed most folks I flew with liked it better than the 'props'.

Yes they are nice looking aircraft. ACA is bringing them into EWR from BOS with the Delta Codeshare. I also saw the United Express Colors on Saturday March 2nd taking a flight to and from IAD. It was neat to see.

Trvlr it isn't UA buying them it's DH.

Anyone know what routes the FRJ's are currently running. Anyone know when they will replace the J-41 to PHL I hate those Jetscreams, with a passion.

IAD-EWR Newark
IAD-TYS Knoxville
IAD-ORF (soon) Norfolk

IAD-PHL will probably have the J41s for some time now. There are other, longer J41 routes that will probably see FRJ replacement before PHL (such as JFK).

Presuming this jet is as uncomfortable as the prop, this plane is HELL for passengers. Give me a Dash 8 anytime but not this...

ACA/Delta's 328-Jet's are actually quite comfortable, and the J-31/32's weren't all that bad especially if you enjoy flying.
