I posted this a little while ago but here it is again:
Does anyone know whether Qantas operates cargo flights. I have seen Qantas flight codes listed in the cargo schedule for Melbourne. I am not sure whether they are Qantas cargo airlines because, they are scheduled for 2.30am in the morning.

I have wondered the same thing for quite a while now. On the Qantas website, they have a schedule for thier freight flights, but I don't think that they actually operate them. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I think they lease aircraft from amercian cargo airlines, like FedEx, Evergreen etc, and also hire American pilots to fly these flights. Nearly all of Qantas' freight flights operate out of Sydney and Melbourne accross the Pacific to Los Angeles, New York and Chicago via Auckland, Honolulu, Pago Pago, Guam and several other Pacific cities.

Evergreen does operate cargo flights on behalf of Qantas. The serve Nadi, Pago, Honolulu,LA, New York and I also think Auckland and Hong Kong. Possibly one or two others. Qantas do not operate their own all-cargo aircraft.
