I see Westjet is leasing in a pair of 737-800s for the summer. I don't suppose they'll have winglets?

Well if the rumors are right, West Jet is leasing the 737-800's from Delta. If the 738's are from Delta then they won't have winglets.

Although, I'm not sure why WJA won't fit winglets to their 73ng's like Kenya Airways has done:

I like British Airways! I'm not sure why, but I do! ;-)

Because the increased weight of the winglets, as well as the added cost of having the planes all re--fit outweighed the fuel savings.....The winglets are good on long flights where the airplane is at cruise for long periods of time, most of WJ's flying is short haul flying, and so the winglets are not as usefull...But they sure look cool...
