777-300ER deliveries to start in March 2004
First deliveries of the newest longer-range 777, the 777-300ER (extended range) jetliner, have been rescheduled to March 2004 from fourth quarter 2003. This decision was made "at the request of our customers," said Lars Andersen, 777 Longer Range program manager. "The change of the delivery date is a result of current market conditions [related to] recent world events." Except for the change in the delivery date, the rest of the program's schedule remains unchanged. Also unchanged is the total number of orders for the 777-300ER and the 777-200LR (longer range) airplanes, which remains at 49.
