Im just wondering what factors play apart in getting an airline to fly into an airport. Any input is great.

So the most important thing is the estimate of how many passengers & cargo they will get.

Landing fees can play a large part in deciding. For example, SAS stopped flying to Hong Kong, largely due to the extortionate fees the Airport Authority were charging here for fees. Their loads were quite good, but they were not making a huge profit. After CLK opened it just wasn't worth it.
