In Addison, TX (around Dallas area), a mechanic was killed while inspecting the landing gear of a King Air 350.
The pilot of the King Air 350 reported landing gear trouble, but landed safely. As the mechanic checked the gear, the left side of it collapsed, sending the whole left wing hitting the ground, crushing the man to death in between.

I'm surprised they did not put some kind of safety holder that holds the plane up incase it collapses though. If it was having trouble locking, then it is in danger of collapsing.

I used to live down the street from Addison airport. It's a busy yet comfortable GA and Bizjet airstrip with generous amounts of parking and hangerage. Despite its' bustle it does have a laid back, friendly quality to it.
The proceedural boogeyman so easily forgotten in such a comfortable environment appears to have reached out & got this guy. Very sad.
