Singapore Airlines announced that it's enhancing it's SMS service. SIA was the first to launch the worldwide service SMS-ing people with flight alerts via Unimobile.

KrisFlyer and PPS Club people can now have up to 30 flight alerts and now, they are automatically alerted if a flight is delayed for more than 30 minutes. (But I think they would probably realise that anyway  )

Other users can now have up to 15 alerts, up from the previous 3.

In July 2000, Singapore Airlines launched an i-mode service in Japan, which is a kind of better than WAP but not as good as 3G sort of thing. I think one can receive more pictures and text and probably in colour too.
