i would love to know what airlines your refuse to fly with and why

Well I havent really flown that many airlines to have a winner, nevertheless I sure try to avoid Continental Airlines because all their flights out from Mexico City to IAH are so crowded, I find the 737 very uncomfortable airplane and the people in the Mexico City's airport counters are rude, so I rather use AA to DFW.

There aren't any airlines I would never fly on again. But if Air Canada's service levels keep falling, I just might add AC to that list.

Alitalia: delays, rude staff at check-in counters & on-board, old dirty planes, a cancelled flight, cheap and poor meal service, bad connections, damaged luggage.

Thank God there's choice!

I certainly hope that i don't have to fly Iberia anymora. althogh with swiss about to enter OneWorld, i might have to fly with them again.

On my flight on a IB 727 the Landing was so harsh, that even some oxygen Masks fell down, and a cabin lamp as well... Only on this airline so far...

swissair/+/ we care

I wouldnt pay to fly QANTAS. I would never fly Swissair again they have the rudest flight attendants in the entire universe. I was onboard thier aircraft in Singapore the day they folded and quite frankly I wasnt surprised they did. thier "couldnt give a damn attitude" was very apparent evan after they started thier flights again. lets hope SWISS airlines is an improvement.

Swiss A330,

When did you fly the IB 727? ..it's just that I think that IBERIA has made quite an improvement lately.

In 1982 I vowed NEVER to take CO ever again due to a flight where I was continuously verbally attacked by a F/A! Here are the details:

It was during the Texasl International takeover of CO when this incident took place. I flew up to PHL on the old CO and over the weekend they merged.
On the way back this flight was after the merger.
Anyway it was a 10:00am flight from PHL-IAH. A freind and I had breakfast at the airport and i checked in, no problems yet. When I was boarding there were 2 F/A's at the entrance to the aircraft and I said 'Good Morning" to them and one of them said "Shut up, you son of a bitch!" I asked her is she had a problem, and she said "Yeah, I have a problem and it's YOU!" I said "OK" and went to my seat (24A). (727-200). There were about 30 pax on board and there was nobody in 24B or C but there was a Navy guy in 24D. On the way to the runway this F/A walked by me and while doing the demo she said to me "you better listen to this, we're not doing it again for you!" I was just sitting there watching them. I couldn't believe this all was happening.  Confused
About an hour after takeoff. meal service was started. This obejctionable F/A was in the rear galley staging the food and a male F/A was serving. He was very nice and asked me what I would like to drink with my lunch. I said a Bacardi and Coke, and he said ok. He said that his cart didn't have any Bacardi on board and he looked toward the galley and said "The gentleman in 24A needs a Bacardi" (we were only 4 rows or so from the galley). This F/A came out and said that "He'll be lucky if he ever get's anything else on this airline again!"  Nuts
The male F/A looked shocked and said he will get the drink. So he rolls the cart back and has a discussion with the F/A with attitiude. She then leaves the galley and goes to first and another F/A from first comes back. They were nice and the rest of the flight was fine. The Navy guy stopped a F/A during the flight and asked why was I being singled out for treatment like that. He told the male F/A that I was just sitting there minding my own business and that this F/A was on some kind of rampage with me. The F/A said he didn't know what was going on, but everything was fine now.
When we landed at IAH I was going to ask this F/A what HER problem was, but she was in the cockpit talking to the Captain. When I looked in the cockpit, the captain got up and slammed the door shut. So I went to the gate and asked the agent for a supervisor, that I had a serious complaint to make about this flight. He said he would call someone for me. BTW, the Navy guy went along with me to provide supporting comments about what happened. After about 15 minutes a supervisor showed up and I started to tell him the story about what happened, and he said that we shouldn't discuss this in the gate area, we need to go to his office. So down into the bowels of terminal C we go to a small office. I told him the whole story and the Navy guy backed me up on this. The
supervisor told me he was very sorry this happened, but that I must be mistaken, CO's 727-200 series planes DO NOT have a seat 24A so I must have been on another airline! I showed him my ticket folder with the CO logo on the seat designator 24A and he said he didn't know where that came from, but his computer doesn't even show me on that flight! This was like out of the Twilight Zone! I told him that just a few weeks ago, BN filed for bankruptcy and told him that if they treat customers in this manner they will be next to go!
He just laughed and said that CO has all the money they need and they would never consider bankruptcy!  Wow!  Wow!
I wrote a complaint letter to CO and did receive a reply. It said that I boarded the plane in a "drunk and disorderly manner" and caused a "general disruption" to the flight crew during the entire flight. I should consider myself lucky that they don't ban me from CO for good!"
I realize that CO is now a different company that it was and the merger with Texas International was not an easy one, but does anyone have a reason I should ever take CO again?  Pissed  Pissed

Air France....a reliability nightmare (both on-time and baggage), with rude ground staff at CDG (which has the worst airport infrastructure of any airport I have even been to)...they do have friendly enough F/A's, though...no friendly enough to offset their other shortcomings, though.

hey type-rated, it is a twilight zone story!!!!!!

once at CDG1 a pax came to me and told me she had been badly treated on TW. As she wanted to ask smg to the stewardess ,this one looked at her without answering; so the pax gently tapped at her : the stewardess then yelled out loud "don't you touch me ever again!" the pax (backed by another one) told me she was so confused she remained seated in shock for the rest of the flight....

anyway I wouldn't flight Corsair again : flights often delayed and overcrowded (over 500 pax in a 747 and 9 seats abreast in an A332!!!!!!)

Any airline that trains its pilots to combat wake turbulence with THE RUDDER certainly doesn't get my money.

Also, United Shuttle.

Thankfully, so I have heard, UA Shuttle is going out of business. Is this the case? Hopefully the decrepid 737s, lack of service, and cattle-car mentality will go out the door with UAS!

well i would have to say air france, due to a delay at manchester while travelling to india. The aircraft had a leakage on the left engine, it was an A320- this lead to me missing my connecting flight to delhi from CDG as we came in about 30 mins after the departure of the DEL flight. i didnt mind the delay, can happen to anyone, but what really got me going was the rude, full of attitude, and ignorant staff at the transit desks in CDG. They claimed the flight was delayed due to poor weather, when in fact it was delayed due to a leakage on an engine. they persisted with what they were saying. during this time i overheard the person next to me, who was having the same problem, and the person at the desk did in fact acknowledge that it was due to technical difficulties and not bad weather, even tho that was what he first said as well. i just think the staff there are very rude, not all just some.
I did in fcat love my delay in paris, and would die for a delay whenever possible, and was given a complimentary hotel and i got to see paris- for the first time.
I do love delays, but rude staff i hate. i have to also say that the PTV was not working throughout the return journey, it kept coming on and off throughout the whole flight- even without any interaction from myself. They have a lot of potential, but it was 1 bad experience, and from this, i will try and fly another airline where possible, but i would not go out of my way considerably to avoid the airline- as i said..... i love delays  Big thumbs up havnt had lost airline baggage, but air france is the way to go if thats what i want  Smile
i havnt flown many airlines, but this was a poor experience compared to the others. but they are quite good, food was cool, was pretty comfortable, some nice FA's, some bad ones, all in all a regular flight.
going off topic slightly:-
A340 was far too comfortable though if u ask me, the slow take off roll, the gradual climb, the smooth cruise, the quiet flight, the graduall descent, the smooth landing- its just how a fligtht should be for the majority, but i luv a fast take off, and a steep climb and lots of turbulance and a desccent which i can feel, and well i dont mind if the landing is same  Smile.
