I hope not, I am actualy losing sleep over this Boeing deal. I hope for the sake of Faidor the deal goes through, we need a partner to carry us over this slump. We have been hammered by the 9/11 events and the company is trying everything not to lay people off.

Keep in mind that Boeing is only going to be doing the sales part of the "RJ-ski" and will not be doing any work on the plane itself.

But I would think that it would be a conflict of intrest for Boeing to invest in Fairchild now.
But what do I know? I'm not a lawyer.....Thank God.

Boeing is also involved in design of the airplane.

As some of you might know that Boeing CEO Phil Condit publicly said that Boeing can't ignore reginal jet market. He told in one of CNBC interview that Boeing is looking for the right opportunity to involve in reginal jet market.

I guess Boeing's biggest concern is COST. That is why they are venturing in Russia and FD (they are relatively cheap).
