Did they get N601ME, and N701ME from McDonnell Douglas or another airline?

N601ME (c/n 49762) and N701ME (c/n 49760) were planes that were originally ordered by Wardair Canada, but not taken up. The planes were then acquired by Polaris Leasing and then leased to Midwest Express.

I believe they are the only "originals" in the ME fleet. I think they were both delivered in 1989.

The MD-88's are the only originals. The MD-81/-82 aircraft they now have are from other airlines.

Midwest Express and Delta are the only 2 US airlines operating those planes. They are also the newest planes in their fleet.
