I don't think it is that big of a deal, why waste money when you can keep it on there. It is not very noticeable anyways.

As Heather Graham said about her new movie which had the twin towers in it(came out after 9/11, but filmed before)

"Are we going to go through all of the films from the eighties and remove the twin towers?[of course not]"

According to Bill Harms' Commercial Jet Aircraft Census, this 757 has been out of service since October 6, 2001.

I would find it a little insensitive to remove it.

By the way: The "E"-Train in Manhattan still goes to "World Trade Center" and not to "Ground Zero".

I agree! I don't think the WTC images need to be removed. I was just curious it they had been by America West.

This 757 is still parked out in the desert and currently not in the fleet, but I have been hearing rumors that it will rejoin the fleet.
