Does anyone know why the prototype 747 (City of Everett) was moved from its resting place alongside the runway at Boeing field? Usually it sits surrounded by a chain link fence, with no engines. Yesterday, I noticed it was sitting among the brand new jetliners being prepared for delivery. Is it being used for tests?

Maybe to test engines for the 747ER?

Or

Preparations for its return to the Museum of Flight?

When I visited the museum in January, a guide said that they were going to be moving the 747 across the street and build a building around it, one that would eventually be devoted to passenger airliners. I think we're talking about the same plane.
