What Happened To The Monarch DC-10?

Now that Monarch have re-branded i have been looking around their site, and in the fleet section the DC10 has now been ommited. i know the airline were planning on disposing their sole DC10 (G-DMCA), and it did spend all last summer on standby.
Though i have not read anywhere that it has gone.... but i would guess now would be the right time, with all the re-branding.

Can anyone confirm that the aircraft has gone.. and if so.. where to??

it's been stuck at MAN for months, had all markings except the stripes removed. Please feel free to take it away - along with all the Airtours DC-10s !

interesting that the titles have been removed. certainly seems like its finally got the push.
As for the AIH DC10s. hmmmmm i heard they were gonna be around till 2003. theyre knockin on abit though now. Some of 'em are DC10-10s!!

Any other info on the MON DC10 though??

All of the Airtours DC-10s are DC-10-10s, except for one, which is a DC-10-30.

What do you think of JMC's new A330s?

I think they're pretty nice, that livery can make any plane look great.

No more info on the Monarch except that it's in storage,

I hope someone gets that DC10 of Monarch. I had some very good flights on her when Zambia Airways used to have her.
I flew to LHR, FCO, LCA and JNB with her as N3016Z. Zambia got her brand new in 1984 and had her till 1994. She's still a young bird. It'll be a shame to see her go to the scraps.

Thanks for your help guys. i agree she is still a young bird. A few months ago i heard that she had already been sold and was awaiting a slot for frieghter conversion. though i think she would have gone now if that was true. Who knows?

I think its fair to say with the imminent arrival of the new A321s that the next stage for Monarch is phasing out the 757s. They are the oldest in the UK. Anyway, time will tell. Soon monarch will almost certainly be an all airbus operation.
