I am a die hard TWA fan. However, on an upcoming trip, I have the opportunity to fly on a 777 (UAL). This is something that I have always wanted to do.
So, do I stick with an airline that has treated me well in the past or grab the chance to fly on an aircraft operated by an airline that has disappointed me in the past?

Go with TWA if they have taken good care of you. The 777 is a nice bird but, I choose carrier over aircraft... Generally...
I would fly anyone with a Martin 130 or Boeing 314 irregardless... LOL

Well, I have to agree with you. I told my wife that I was going to take TWA and she looked at me like I was out of my mind. She knows that I'm dying to fly "The Trip". But that's what you call true airline loyalty.
If only TWA would buy the 777...then I could truly be a happy man!

I agree but, TWA is making up for 20 years of mismanagement and the largest you are likely to find there is 767-300ER... A 777 would probably bankrupt em at the moment!
On the other hand 3 of the 5 flights STL-FLL are 757's. (The other 2 are MD80's) a big improvement from 2 MD80's a day (1 making a stop in either PBI or SRQ depending... LOL)

I would take Delta. It is not everyday you get a chance to fly a Canadair Regional Jet half across the US (COS-CVG). Delta operates the 757 on the CVG-FLL route, so that would without question be my choice.

I recommend taking the 777. I don't know about you, but when I travel I like to get as many stopovers as possible to visit plenty o' airports. United will either route you COS-ORD-FLL, or maybe COS-ORD-IAD-FLL (but only if flying on a Saturday, in both directions take the IAD connection).

I have flown the CRJ half way across the country already: DSM to PHX and back on AWE (Mesa). It was a very nice A/C and great flight deck. I've also flown the 757 from STL to IND on TWA. I like flying on different types and the 777 is one of the few that I haven't.
If I do take UAL, it will be from COS-DEN-ORD-FLL. That's D328, 777, and 757 there and 757, 767, and BAe-146 back. I've flown all these types exept the 328 and the 777.
Still, I love TWA and would actually feel guilty if I flew another airline. Is that sick or what?
