In May US will fly from Charlotte to Frankfurt again. Does anybody know if they will use the 762 again or switch to the A330?

I would think 762 also just because thats what it was before. CLT never has had any A330 flights, have they? Seems strange to me that US's largest hub (I think I heard it carried more pax than PHL or PIT in 2001) would have its largest plane...

i believe clt has seen the 330 from phl and sju on occasion. the main reason why phl gets the most 330's is the international routes. they operate 9 international flts with 4 or 5 330's a day.

A330 flight PHL-CLT-SJU (daily?). Starting May 1, service upgraded to A330 on the daily CLT-LGW route. Would love to see the A330 serve all transatlantic flights out of Charlotte. I wish CLT-CDG was in the future.

The A330 ran PHL-CLT-SJU-PHL during the winter, along with another A330 that ran PHL-SJU-PHL (B762 made a CLT-PHL-SJU-CLT run). The A330 ran CLT-LGW last spring and summer, and will return this summer. This helps accomplish the maintenance checks during the thin winter months. A330 Checks are performed in the CLT Maintenance Facility, along with B757 and B767 checks.
