Isn't very difficult to land on the ground with it?

As my username would suggest, I love DeHavilland Beavers. This one is in INCREDIBLE shape. Do you know who did the restoration work? I'd want to say Kenmore, in Seattle WA. but I couldn't tell you for sure. $540,000 is a VERY reasonable price for this airplane by looking at the condition it is in, it makes me wonder about the engine, it could possibly have high hours, that might be why they are asking a relatively low price.

Again, a beautiful picture, and beautiful aircraft!

If anyone here hasn't ever flown in a Beaver, I STRONGLY suggest you put it on your "to-do" list!!!

I really like how it has the Attitude Indicator, Airspeed Indicator, Dyrectional Gyro, and Altimeter on the right hand side too. You dont' always find this on Beavers. Also, considering it is on amphibs, again, that is a very good price.

P.S. Do you know what kind of floats those are? Wiplines?

This is great!! I flew in all of Ketchum Air Service's Beavers in Alaska, when I worked for them in 1990. I even have a few 'bootleg' hours at the stick of the old N727KA. Renumbered since, I believe. None of them were as nice as this specimen. The price actually seems a tad high. After searching for 45 minutes, I can't find any that run more than $400K. However, amphib. floats are somewhat rare. Those floats alone are worth perhaps $165K or more. Here's another one for $375K. Nowhere near as nice of course, and no amphibs: http://www.kenmoreair.com/n9Z.htm

Here's a 1964 for $350K: http://www.ventureaviation.com/aircraft/DeHavillandDHC2-CXXXX.html

Based on the photos posted above however, I must say that I have never seen a DHC-2 in that pristine of a condition. It is gorgeous!! Given the rarety of such a perfect ship, perhaps the price is reasonable. Hey can someone loan me $500K on flexible terms?  Big thumbs up
