Some of the major operators of Boeing 747 freighters continue to operate only 747-200Fs.
It sounds logical to me that here is a potential for possible new orders for 747-400Fs/747-400ERFs soon.

I´m talking about airlines like Lufthansa (they were short of ordering some 744Fs before 9/11), JAL (their -solely 747-200 freighter fleet needs complete replacement within this decade), Nippon Cargo (not that much in haste, most freighters are late 742s), Northwest (3 freighters just passed their 25th birthday).

Are there any rumours that new orders for the 744F are pending?

On a slightly different side note...
Is there a conversion program available/running for the 744. First 744 came out in 1988 or so, so the first aircarft are now 14 years old. With new equipment now or soon hitting the market like 777-200ER, 777-300, A340-500/600 and the A380 in a couple a years, would a 744 conversion program catch on?
