My vote goes to the new colour scheme - The old livery wasn't bad, but it was just too old and needed updating badly, especially when every other major UK charter carrier appears to have had an image change over the past few years.
The new livery is more of an 'evolution' than a 'revolution', unlike the new BY colours. MON must have the best livery of all the UK charter airlines I reckon (then again, the competition is nothing to shout about).

I much prefer the OLD one. A timeless classic! I hate the new one very unoriginal and it will certainly not last as long as the OLD one! I think we have got enough wavy c/s these days JMC, MY TRAVEL, BMI, BA and Now MONARCH!!! Come on graphic designers! TRY SOMETHING NEW!

It is a pitty that they left the classic window line (it makes an aircraft long) although I have to admit that the new fuselage wavy pattern is very, very, very beautifull as well as the Monarch brandname; it looks very soft but still sturdy, new and due to its fine colours very tastefull; very good job, designer!!
The tailfin emblem design however is nicer but the whole tailfin design is not a real strong improvement. They could have make more out of this tailfin...pitty, pitty. Final decissions are mostly made by airlines' CEO's, I cannot imagine this Monarch tailfin design was the designer's choice.
By the way who designed it? Please inform this forum in case you know it.
