The second Airbus Industrie A330-200 of Belgium's new flagcarrier "VG Airlines" (on lease from ILFC) is now in paintshop somewhere near Bremen (D). The OO-SFR the "Michael Toman, fleet godfather" will receive a "Delsey"-logojet livery. According the latest news the painthangar is hired until March 27, 2002 so the aircraft is expected to roll out somewhere this week. Looking forward to your pictures on Airliners.net. Well, that's great news for Freddy Van Gaever & co. I can't wait to see some of his airbuses fly right over my house.
And, although I'm not sure if this is a good idea (but of course I don't have access to all the detailed information), maybe market circumstances are improving that much that Van Gaever is already thinking about expanding his fleet. Or maybe he's just listening to his potential customers, who knows?

This weeks Flight International [26 Mar - 01 Apr 2002] just fell on my doorstep. At page 14 it says:
Belgian long-haul start-up VG Airlines has taken delivery of the first of three ex-Sabena Airbus A330-200s, with the second to follow later this month [Mar] and the third arriving in early April. The airline expects to begin scheduled operations before the end of march on services from Brussles to Boston, Miami and New York.
So it looks like Freddies A330s are on the roll...Congrats!
