It would be interesting to see regional jets used in the Gulf. I know Kuwait Airways is also considering small feeder aircraft too. The main problem that GF face is the acceptance of the regional jets over larger aircraft by the people in the Gulf (Omanis already have a familiarity with smaller aircraft). If the general public accept the regional jets then I would think other Gulf airlines such as SV might follow.

GF seem svery uncertain. One day they say they will dump all the 767s a week later they say that they will keep the B767s for Short to Medium Haul and then another week later they say again they will dump the B767s. I remeber once they said that they will get rid of the A320s and standardise on the A330s and then about a month later they talk about the Delmon project which will mean disposing of all widebodies. I get so confused...

I can't imagine GF disposing off all their wide bodies.....if it does then it will literally be reduced to a regional carrier like Silk Air or something. Wont affect DOH that much....but what will happen to our friends in Bahrain and also in Abu Dhabi ??

Airmale, could you please sort the Saudi Arabian rumour a bit out? First time that I hear about this even though I´ve heard that they have a need for replacing their B737-200s.
