I saw yesterday a United B747-400 N177UA from ORD or IAD in Frankfurt. Today, my friend saw a UA B747-400 in FRA.
Operated UA on Easter with B747-400 from ORD or IAD to FRA and why? More passengers?

I also spotted a UA 744 at FRA on last Thursday and I´ve heard that they had been flying the Jumbos over here from ORD during the whole last week.

Maybe UA is trying to utilise them a bit more, cos a lot of them are not needed at the moment.

Did 747-400 service to FRA drop off after September? I flew one from ORD-FRA on the 3rd of September.

Must be part of the sytemwide rebuild United is experiencing. They are currently bringing back many flights, and are returning the 5 stored 747s to service this summer.

Also, as of right now, United has more capacity going to Hawaii than they did before the attacks. HNL is now served by 767-300s, 777s, and a 747-400 from NRT.
