Indian Airlines To Purchase 43 New Airbus

Indian airlines board has decided to purchase 43 new airbus aircrafts worth $ 2 Billion. They will inclue
A-319,A-320 and A-321. They will replace the aging fleet of the A-300s and B-737s.

Good for the indian skies to have a new fleet. Carry on the good work IA.

Excellent - and particularly long awaited - news. I wonder will political considerations now mean Air India will go for Boeing.

Will Air India be loyal to Boeing or will it also follow IA, it all depends on the qouatations put forward. The lower bidder wins as was in the case of IA, Airbus offerd qoutations which were 4% lower than Boeing. The same is expected with AI probably by the min 2002. Its B777 vs the A330 ?
