I found flight tracker today. I noticed flight schedule from Kansas City to Las Vegas Vanguard #721. The flight tracker was shown Allegiant Air Flight #721 at the same time schedule. Did Vanguard ask Allegiant Air to borrow MD80 flight for reason? Maybe one of the MD 80 have problem or under maintenance. Did anyone who know about this information? It also Allegiant Air flight #902 flew Denver to Kansas City this morning, too.

The chartered it to run thee schedule it looks like that since they just added a MD-80 that it came late or they ran into some problem bringing it on line into to un the expanded scheduled..It is common practice to have the new schedule in effect when you think tour going to have a new airplane on the line to save money sometimes though it this one didn't get on line in time

Ok, thanks for the detail. Today again Saturday, Vanguard still using Allegiant Air MCI-DEN-MCI-LAS-MCI run for schedules everyday.

Western Pacific did this too, they wet leased two 727-200s during the summer since their 737s could not make the east coast from COS. It's a mute point now, but just to let you know that some airlines do this.

Vanguard has been wet leasing several different company's aircraft to cover its flight schedule as its expansion outpaces its acquisition of aircraft. If you're on one of these flights, they give out an information voucher on why they're doing it. It has leased 727s from Falcon Air and Trans Meridian, as well as -87s from Allegiant.

Those who fail to learn history are doomed to repeat it in summer school.
