Plans are being finalised for the new service which will replace the present F27 charter operations of PIA to Kabul which is catering to aid agency and foreign media groups from Islamabad. The scheduled servcies will be either from Islamabad or Peshawar most probably using the 737-300.

Interesting, let's see how long it lasts and if PIA will make some money on it.

Once you have tasted flight, you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward; for there you long to return

Considering that most people, companies, agencies and Afghans of the middle class in Pakistan will be utilising the service it should be.

It should be a fairly profitable route now that the situation there has calmed down somewhat. Only time will tell.

PIA better ensure that the problems with passport and immigration are solved.

The Ariana 727 service from Kabul to Delhi is going out with barely 20-25 pax each day, despite the large population of Afghan Refugees in India and the excellent relations between the 2 countries.

This is happening because the indian govt isnt giving out sufficient visas.
