A SAS B763, bound for Arlanda was hit by a United Airlines plane as it (the SK bird) was parked at gate 57 at EWR.
The tip of one wing of the UA plane tore the rudder of the SAS plane as it took a too sharp turn.
Both planes got minor damages.
SAS says that it's only a minor incident, but the planes were taken to a hangar and the 767 couldn't take off to ARN as planed.

This seems to be the "Star greeting"... LH and UA have clipped wings last year in IAD and FRA...

What happens in these cases? Is SAS compensated by United?

The good thing about this is that UAL has a maintenance hangar at EWR where they can make the repairs to both aircraft, I know somebody who was a mechanic there for neary 40 years before retiring.
