Interesting article from the Business Press of Ontario, CA:

Ontario, Calif. Airport Serves as Backdrop for Hollywood Movie Scenes
04/01/2002

http://archives.californiaaviation.org/airport/msg20734.html

The movie is called "Catch Me If You Can" and is based on a book by the same name. The book details the true life story of Frank Abignale, Jr., one of the greatest con artists and forgers of all time.

While still in his teens, he was able to pose as a Pan Am pilot, even deadheading on Pan Am flights. He made his money by cashing forged Pan Am checks at local banks.

Here's a book review from Amazon.com:

Truth, in Frank Abagnale's autobiography, is more entertaining than fiction. Abagnale, one of the world's most brilliant con men and impostors, re-creates the events that had police in the U.S. and twenty-six countries searching for him--all before his twenty-first birthday. From his impersonations of an airline pilot, pediatrician, professor, assistant attorney general, and federal agent, through his seemingly limitless check swindles, this book tells it all in superb detail. Barrett Whitener's flawless reading uses all the right emotions and inflections to bring this international criminal to life. Most impressive is how Whitener leaves listeners rooting for Abagnale, whether he is avoiding arrest or escaping from an airplane or prison.

If you like true-crime stories with an aviation theme, I highly recommend this book. The movie is set to be released in November.
