Hi, I am a freshman in high school and REALLY want to go to ERAU and study air traffic management. I am in the top 25% of my class with a 3.1 GPA. My SAT is estimated to be around 1250. Would these grades get me in?

I think that is sufficient enough, at least from my experience in the college process this last few months.

With those grades you will get into ERAU, anything over 2.5 will get you into ERAU.

ERAU Entrance Requirement Test:

1. Find a hand-mirror.

2. Place hand-mirror between thumb and index finger. Hold hand-mirror 1-2 inches away from mouth.

3. Emit a normal breath onto mirror.

4. Check mirror for the presence of steam/fog. If there, is you are valedictorian material for ERAU. Welcome aboard.

5. If no steam on mirror, check wrist for presence of pulse. If pulse found, congratulations...you're in.

I'll admit that it has gotten easier to get into Riddle but it isn't as easy as having a pulse and breath!! I think the reason why standards have sorta dropped was to continue to keep enrollment up so the students tuition can pay the bills.

Also, once you get it, you gotta hack it. 2 out of 3 Air Science students won't make it to graduation. So, while you may get it easily, you have to work hard to stay in and succeed. The school is competitive once enrolled... and I guess those rigours and the fact that not everyone is pilot material, weeds out the week (so to speak).

Azj is right the attrition rate in ther Aero Sci program is incredible, half of the students that start in the aero sci major finish in some other area of concentration or in some other school. Flying at Riddle really makes you think if flying is what you want to do for the rest of your life.
