I'm really happy for this.

Do you think they'll order some A380?

Will those be additions to their fleet or be replacements for their current 340-300's?

What do you mean that they are ordering the A346? It is not a new order. They have been ordered for quite a while.

Is there a possibility they should fly again to Brussels from Shanghai and Beijing?

They stopped this route a half year ago  Sad

I think China Eastern is buying the A346 because frankly, they were quite disappointed by the performance of the A343 on long-range flights (like PVG-LAX-PVG).

I wouldn't be surprised that China Eastern will use the A346 on new transpacific routes such as PVG-SFO-PVG.

Are they getting rid of the MD-11s then, and if so, when?

RayChuang, SFO-PVG isn't new, but MU pulled out of the SFO-PEK/PVG market quite a white back.

They probably aren't coming back to SFO -- they are basically leaving this route to CA (competing with UA of course).

They're replacing the MD-11s with the A340-600. Does anyone know when they're supposed to get the new aircraft?
