it seems to me that this plane could also be a RJ candidate. Is this true or not? What a great looking jet !!

Bombardier uses basically the same airframe for the Bombardier Continental, Challenger 604, Special Edition, Global Express and the CRJ Series airliners; hence the similarity to the Global 5000 pictured.

The Global Expres is optomized for very long range runs. If it were ever designed into an RJ you would see real scope issues, imagine RJ service from CVG to London or something like that.

Silly me, I forgot Bombardier and Canadair are basically the same company! What a beautiful aircraft though. One other question about this type of aircraft, has anyone else noticed on the CRJ's how low the windows in the cabin are? I heard a rumor that on the new models, the 700 series for example, that the windows are being raised higher. Is this true? I think the EMJ jet has higher windows than the CRJ. The CRJ is very difficult to look out of and observe other aircraft while you are taxiing, in my opinion.

There was a deal being "discussed" involving Branson (Virgin) buying 50 Globals for an all business class, long range, scheduled service airline. Seems that this is now on the back burner.

Yes, the 700/900 CRJ's have windows at a more optimum height. They lowered the floor and raised the window height.

Lastly, the Challenger and CRJ100/200 fuse are quite similiar, but the 700/900 and Continiental are somewhat different.
