According to Airbus' A380 Aircraft Characteristics for Airport Planning Manual, Section 2, Subsection 4, Sub-Subsection 1, Pages 1 and 2 the aircraft will have 2 lifts, the first located near the second door (main boarding door), in the middle of the plane, the second at the very far far back, even behind the galleys and crew areas, on the right side. Both are the same size, slightly smaller than the indicated lavatories. Because of their size, I am assuming that they will not be intended for lifting people, which makes it a mystery to understand how handicapped passengers flying in Business class will get to the 2nd deck, which is the only location Airbus suggests putting a middle class. Obviously it could go on the first floor, but if on the second as indicated in the manual, I'm not sure what one would do if intending to fly Business and in a wheelchair. In any case, I'm sure a person would fit in them if necessary, but because they are always located in the midst of galleys, I think they are probably mainly going to be intended for food purposes.

What about lifts on the stairs, you know for disabled people.

I thought about that. The main stairwell at the front is "double wide", even in the seating layout plans it looks wide enough to carry a small yacht up, so that could be an option. The back staircase is curved along the interior of the aft pressure bulkhead but rather narrow, probably for crew use only.

By the way, Hkgspotter1, don't know if you noticed this but I was the first one to respond to your "BA Tails" post just as you were to my post here. I'm always amused when little curiosities like that transpire. Is it 5:42 am where you are? (Probably not, given your username)...
