Looks like AC will be making both of these routes seasonal-only. IAD will run in the summer (01Jun02-15Sep02) and MIA will run only in the winter (01Nov02-29Mar03). Too bad, but at least service on both routes, for now, remains. This is according to the latest * Timetable. Nice to see MIA service stay around, at least for now. The new MIA service will have a later departure time than it does now, but still get in on time to connect with Asia. And FLL-YOW must have been succsesful, because it is coming back 22Dec02. Things can still change, of course. YOW-MCO also comes back0 02Nov02.

YUL-MCO is not seasonal. However, it is weekend-only for through 26May02 and then Saturday-only during the summer. Sunday service returns 27Oct02, daily service returns 13Dec02.
Also, Chepos, though you'd like to know SJU resumes 16Nov02 with Saturday 767 service. Then on 20Dec02 there will be Friday and Sunday A320 service. This all lasts through 30Mar03.

And here is another one I discoverd, and I am shocked. FLL-YUL goes to Saturday only at the end of the month and then is gone until 28Oct02 when daily service resumes. I know that this is a big winter leisure route, but considering Ft. Lauderdale's huge Quebecian immigrant population (which is just as large as Miami's), I fail to see why they are stopping it.
On the brighter side, I don't know if this is done all the time, but AC is running a second-daily YUL-CDG this summer and a second daily YVR-LHR.

I was hoping that they'd bring back to San Juan the A330. But I guess that they didn't do that bad on the YYZ-SJU as they will operate the route again next winter.

A little off topic i know but what about YUL and/or YYZ to ACY (Atlantic City, New Jersey) seasonal summer service from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Before you think I have gone crazy here is my rational. I live in Central Jersey and EVERY day from Memorial Day to Labor Day I see license plates from Quebec and Ontario traveling the Jersey roads. Not one or two but maybe ten to fifteen plates a day, especially if you travel the Garden State Parkway. The Capemay/Wildwood/Atlantic City, Ocean, and Monmouth County area of New Jersey is a prime vacation spot that our friendly neighbors up North love to come down a spend a summer week. If AC were to start RJ service to ACY i think it can be a goldmine. Instead of driving 10+ hours in the car you can be there only in a few hours by plane, a lot less stressful. ACY has quite a few car rental agencies and I think it can work. What do you think?

Yyz717, I had no idea about Intair. Thanks for the info. ACY has somewhat declined in the mid to late 90s but they are trying to build it back up. Not to sure about the details but there may be a new MGM type hotel opening up soon. It is still though a top destination in the tri-state area though. The airport at ACY is desperetly trying very hard to compete as an alternative to PHL or EWR. Here is there website.
