Hello everybody,

can you tell me how Cirrus Airlines´ airliner fleet is composed at the moment?

I have conflicting information, one source says it´s 1 ERJ145 (D-ACIR), 1 Dash8-300 (D-BOBU), 3 Dash8-100 (D-BOBL, D-BOBO, D-BOBY) and 2 Do328-100 (D-COSA, D-CCIR), the other one lists 1 ERJ145, 1 Dash8-300, 2 Dash8-100, 1 Do328-100.

Which information is correct?

If the second one is correct, which Dash8-100 and Do328 have left the fleet?

Which Dash8-100 will be based at RLG to fly the twice daily RLG-MUC flights from May?

Which Dash8-100 are the newer version in which the oxygen mask drops from the ceiling, and which are the older ones in which the mask is stored under the seat?

Since FKB-THF is elligible for Miles&More from September, will that route also be operated under the Team LH banner or will it continue to be exclusively sold with a C9 flight number?

Thanks,

Daniel Smile

hmmm, let´s see.
i don´t know about the oxygen masks, since i´ve never flown them.
but they do have two Do328s in their fleet. one of their Do328 was recently leased to Air Dolomiti (where it operated VRN-BRU until a CRJ took over) so that might explain the difference.
i don´t know about the Dash 8-100s, though.

cheers

Hello Daniel,

according to the Lufthansa summer schedule and Lufthansa's internet InfoFlyway, the first information (with more planes) must be correct.

There are two Do 328 based at MHG (for flights to THF and HAM).

One Dash 8-300 and one Dash 8-100 are based at SCN, the -100 doing HAM, the -300 doing THF.

One dash 8-100 is based at FKB for the flights to THF, but these flights can't be booked under LH flight number. The fact that you can earn Miles&More miles doesn't naturally mean that the flight is offered within Team LH. Since a decission by the German anti-trust commission (Bundeskartellamt) LH had to open its frequent flyer programme to all competitors on German domestic routes (this was a condition for the permission the LH/EW cooperation).

A further Dash 8-100 is needed for the new route RLG-MUC.

So all props are occupied. I don't know on which routes the ERJ is flying during the summer schedule; I couldn't find it in the LH schedule. But as far as I know it is still wearing Team LH colours.

I don't know which particularrly Dash 8-100 will be based at RLG, but I think this doesn't have to be the same aircraft for all the time. I also don't know anything about the two different Dash 8-100 versions.

Hope that helps a bit.

well, i have not checked the online schedules for SCN-THF, however, in the past the ERJ operated the SCN-THF route, except on weekends, so i suppose it will serve this route again. it did so everytime i was at SCN.

The Do328 D-CCIR was leased to Air Dolomiti to fly between Verona and Amsterdam. At the end of March it came back to Germany, wearing only Team LH titles, no logo, as shown here in Tempelhof prior to a flight to Mannheim on 26.03. :

On the next picture you see D-CCIR with Dash-8-100 D-BOBY which is flying to Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden that same evening :

BTW, on 22.March I saw a Team LH Do 328 in full colors taxiing in Amsterdam, so I assume that they had swapped the aircraft for a short time.

Best regards,

Tom

Very interesting replies, thanks a lot.

RE: Johnnybgoode
I didn´t know that about CCIR being leased to EN. So now that she´s back the MHG-HAM flights can be switched from DH1 to D38, then the newly free DH1 can do RLG-MUC.

RE: Contact Air
Aha, so I should go to MHG myself and watch out for CCIR - never seen her so far, only COSA (on which I flew myself, btw).
The ER4 is doing SCN-THF. So the DH3 you mentioned as flying that route can be reassigned to SCN-HAM in May, when the DH1 that now serves SCN-HAM will be based at RLG.
Bundeskartellamt - ah, that could very well be the reason. Though I had understood that ruling as only applicable to those routes where the EW deal eliminated competition, i.e. MUC-DTM/PAD. Anyway, fine with me, my next Berlin flight will be from FKB instead of MHG - screw the MA-KA train ride  Smile/happy/getting dizzy .

RE: Patroni
Thanks for the pics. I thought BOBY was repainted in Team LH colours (read it in some production list) - obviously I was wrong. That plane, btw is going to fly THF-HDF/GWT (this leg under Team LH banner, interestingly) - she is underused with only doing FKB-THF.

Anyway, thanks for all your replies, more info always appreciated. (Local patriotism, you know - and I´d really love to see MHG connected to an LH hub [MUC - what a day for a day dreamin´ boy  Wink/being sarcastic]). Plus I´m rather keen on that "plug in" version´s safety card, last Team LH card I don´t have yet...
