Good news indeed!!
CLT currently is way too expensive to fly from due to the dominance of US Airways.
I lived in CLT for a year and a half and I found some fares to LGW on BA cheaper than domestic flights to LGA for example. Also good news for spotters
to see something other than US Airways and the odd DL or UA couple of times a day...

Charlotte is gaining an airline and losing an NBA team...fair trade don't ya think?
Just kidding. Good to see low-fare service for the Queen City.

Ya, Charlotte is the Queen City...I dunno if it's because it was named after the queen, or if the city was nicknamed that because of queens college...

I gotta say that no one I know even follows the NBA, much less is a die hard fan...You can have the Hornets, New Orleans! We have NC State, Carolina, Duke, and Wake Forest!

After looking on several Cincinnati websites, it is in fact called "The Queen City." So who knows. I've always heard Cincinnati being the one called that, not Charlotte. Now Charlotte was named for Charlotte of Mecklenburg, King George III's wife.

There is a site that has quite a few nicknames on there...Queen City isn't one of them. Now Denver is the Mile High City and also the "Queen City of the Plains"...go figure that one. LOL
