Was it a 767-300 or an A330-200? If it was either of these aircraft types, the aircraft you saw was probably a British charter aircraft belonging to, for example, JMCair, Britannia, Airtours, who had actually leased their aircraft to Garuda for the Hadj. The aircraft has probably been returned to the airline to do charters to holiday destinations again but the airline hasn't removed the temporary Garuda stickers, yet. I can't imagine any other reason for a Garuda aircraft to be in Montego Bay...

There would be a GARUDA aircraft in the Caribbean
if the president were travelling to A League on Non-
Alligned Nations" summit or something like that.
It has happened in the past a few times. But more
than likely it was an aircraft just returned from the
HAJJ charters with the decals not removed yet.

NO JM, GARUDA is wholly owned by the Republic
of Indonesia as the flag carrier. They lease up to
20 widebody aircraft every year from various
carriers for the HAJJ pilgrimage. Are you sure this
aircraft had a PK reggo? Ive never heard of them
re-registering a leased aircraft. The titles and
logo are stickers and should have been removed before return to AIRTOURS, but obviously this aircraft went
straight into service after return from the HAJJ lease.
If you took any pics, they will be something to hold
onto....
