Hello,
In regards to past posts, is anyone here a member of United College Plus? If so, how is it? Is it worth it? Meaning is it really that good for college students? Do you earn one mile for every dollar spent on the credit card? Looking foward to your responses.

I am a member, You earn 1 mile for every two dollars you spend on the credit card, so it is half. You get a one-way, one-class upgrade and a $25 off certificate for getting the credit card also. You do get 1-1 miles on miles you fly though. Also, you get 10,000 bonus miles upon graduation. Its worth it as sign-up is free.

The upgrade says it is restricted to certain fare classes, but I used it on a ridiculously cheap web-fare on a fully booked flight and there was no problem. It also has your name on it so you can't sell an envelope on ebay and include it with it. Having 30k recent miles on my account, while not stupendous, probably helped as well. Good luck!
