I will be booking a Delta flight between SLC and LAS and I was wondering what the best seat on the Delta 763 would be in coach.

I like Windows, and my cousin will be getting his ticket probably tomorrow. we are flying down to my home together.

What is probably the best seats?

in order to keep this post from slipping away..

I was looking at 27G for my SLC-LAS flight, and the seat map says it is a preferred available seat. Also, it doesn't show any seat in front of it. Does this mean there is ample legroom???

It's an exit row over the wing, but that does not bother me because it's a night flight (10:00pm or so) over the desert for an hour.

Thanks!!

21G is great, no one behind you and can have great views of the engine wing and still take ground shots.

27G was the seat I had when I flew from CVG-MCO last summer and it was very comfortable. It is an exit row seat with plenty of leg room. I do prefer exit row seats because of the extra leg room available.

In June I will be flying a DL 763 overwing exit! And on my return trip I will be in row 38 A on an MD-11, and that means there are two rows in front of you that are empty, which means grand legroom!

I think I am going to go with 27G on the 767 and then get an Exit row on the Canadair Skywest plane as well...

any opinions on the Canadair Regional Jet?? I was looking at either 4A or 8A (overwing exit).

I am concerned with room, not view, since this is a night flight, but I still want a window for a place to put my head.

You may wish to do a search on washingtonpost.com... I saw an article there recently, but can't remember the link... it listed the preferred seats on several planes of several airlines (including DL 763).

Perhaps someone else who saw this article will post a link...

if possible SIT BEFORE THE ENGINES i just flew 763's from bdl to pbi 3 weeks ago with the same exact seats. on all the flights it was EXTREMELY quiet on takeoff and landing. when we landed in ATL i never would have know the thrust reverser was deployed if i didnt look and see it for myself it was just so quiet.
