I am interested in which SQ 772's have first class in them due to the fact that there is a rumour that SQ may fly the 772 to Auckland. I am guessing that they would fly the ones with First Class seats in them.
So which ones will it be, the
If the 772's come to AKL I understand that they will fly double daily replacing the current daily 744. SQ is doing very well on this route!
I love the Megatops, its good that we now get Sky Suites so rather than seeing just the older aircraft we see different ones all the time.

Only the 9V-SQx series have first class. It is not an ER and it would not be able to fly to AKL. Most likely it would be the 9V-SVx series, the ERs, would do the route. the SVs are configured in a 2 class configuration.

What makes the most sense would be a double daily service with NZ 763 flying a nighttime AKL-SIN and daytime SIN-AKL return service and SQ flying the current SQ285/286 744 flights. This makes the most sense, assuming NZ survives.
Don't forget that while SQ flights to AKL may be full, it is still a low-yield route. I think their breakeven load factor would be in the 80s ... I recall it being in the low 90s in the mid-1990s. I won't be surprised if they got rid of First Class on the route.
Out of curiosity.... I note that there are more (or as many?) 9VSR_ series a/c than 9VSQ_ series a/c...
Can anyone tell me where the two-class 9VSR_ a/c are scheduled fly to, apart from ADL, BNE, FUK, HIJ and NGO?
